On 16th November 2018, MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at Malviya National Institute of Technology, Malviya Nagar Jaipur, Rajasthan with the help of AU Small finance bank.
The college was established in 1963 with the name as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, Subsequently; on June 26, 2002 the college has been given the status of National Institute of Technology and on 15 August 2007, Proclaimed Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament. The Institute is fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. More than 12,000 students have already been graduated since its establishment.
Mrs. Rajula Loona and Mr. Roshan Bahadur represented the MFJCF team. More than 70 students attended the session and got the vital information about organ donation.
MFJCF members addressed the students with the help of PowerPoint presentation. Some questions were asked by students and faculty members and answered by MFJCF members.
1. Has somebody resuscitated after declaring brain dead?
2. Is there any law exists to regulate illegal kidney transplant?
3. What should we do to pledge for our organs?
After the session all students posed with organ donation message board and promised to spread awareness about the noble cause.
