On 14th December 2018 MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum Navjeevan team conducted an awareness talk on organ donation at Narayana Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan with the help of AU Small finance bank.
Mrs. Ranju Jain and Mr. Pavan Kumar Dubey represented the MFJCF team.
Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Jaipur is a tertiary care hospital of the Narayana Health Group in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It treats patients from Rajasthan and other neighbouring states. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission and is the first hospital in Rajasthan to obtain this accreditation. It was commissioned in 2011 in Sanganer with cardiology, neurosciences, orthopaedics and nephrology its main specialities.
Ms. Nidhi Kapoor (Transplant coordinator) welcomed MFJCF members and invited Mrs. Ranju Jain to deliver talk and more than 40 nursing students got sensitized about organ donation. MFJCF member gave presentation with the help of video based on organ donation and brain death and covered following things.
1. Concept of brain death.
2. Concept of organ donation.
3. Difference between brain death and coma.
Some questions were asked by the nursing students and answered by MFJCF member.
1. How do we allocate organs?
2. Who declares brain death?
3. Which organs and tissues can be donated after brain death?
After the session all students posed with organ donation message board and promised to spread awareness about the noble cause
