Awareness session on Organ Donation at Vivekanand Global University

On 19th September 2024, MFJCF (MOHAN Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum) organized an impactful awareness session on organ donation at Vivekanand Global University. The session was led by  Dr. Anushree Nair, Project Director MFJCF.

She delivered an insightful presentation that shed light on the importance of organ donation. She addressed key aspects such as the life-saving impact of donating organs, the medical benefits for recipients, and the need for more donors to come forward. She emphasized breaking down societal barriers and misconceptions surrounding organ donation, urging attendees to take action by becoming registered donors. The session sparked active participation, with students and faculty posing questions and sharing their thoughts during an engaging discussion. The event concluded on a hopeful note, with many attendees expressing interest in becoming organ donors and supporting the cause. Dr. Damini Singh, Project Coordinator MFJCF, contributed significantly to the session by discussing about the strategies for preventing organ failure. Her talk covered lifestyle changes, early medical interventions, and the importance of regular health check-ups to prevent conditions that could lead to organ failure. This practical guidance added a valuable dimension to the session, empowering attendees not only to consider organ donation but also to maintain their own organ health.
