On 21st September 2024, MFJCF organized an informative awareness session on organ donation at the AU Ignite Nursing Assistant Academy. This session was specially designed for nursing assistant trainees, aiming to provide them with essential knowledge about the importance of organ donation and its immense potential to save lives. Mrs. Priyanka Bhatt,Project Manager,MFJCF shared valuable insights into the current state of organ donation in India, highlighting the large gap between the number of patients on transplant waiting lists and the availability of donated organs. This underscored the urgent need for more organ donors to come forward. Mrs. Bhatt discussed the ethical and moral dimensions of organ donation, stressing that it is not only a personal choice but also a humanitarian act that benefits society as a whole. She urged the trainees to view organ donation as a compassionate duty and consider their potential role in promoting it.
