Awareness session on Organ Donation at AU Ignite Nursing Assistant Academy(Evening session)

On 21st September 2024, MFJCF held an informative session on organ donation at AU Ignite Nursing Assistant Academy. Targeted towards nursing assistant trainees, the session was designed to impart crucial knowledge about organ donation, emphasizing its life-saving potential. Mrs. Priyanka Bhatt, the Program Manager, MFJCF, led the session, sharing significant insights and data on the current organ donation scenario in India. Mrs. Priyanka Bhatt explained the current organ donation landscape in India, with a focus on the imbalance between the number of people waiting for organ transplants and the organs available for donation. She presented this as a growing concern and urged the need for more individuals to step forward as donors.As future healthcare professionals, the trainees were reminded of the critical role they can play in the organ donation process. Mrs. Bhatt emphasized the responsibility of healthcare providers in raising awareness about organ donation and guiding patients and their families through the process.

 

Close to 30 trainees were sensitized.
